We are all completely smitten with our new little one. She's perfectly wonderful. The big girls adore her. I am feeling really good- tired, of course, but good. I got my VBAC, and whew, what you don't know about childbirth until you do it... Still I am so happy to have birthed this little one just the way I wanted and hoped. These newborn days are blissfully sleepy for us all. We're enjoying lots of time at home, mainly in our jammies, reading, snuggling, and eating good food.
All 3 big girls are adjusting well- it's easier than we expected. On the day after our little Owl was born, Em told Rob she felt like she was dreaming, it didn't seem real that she had a baby sister. She is a well-loved little baby, just about always in someone's arms.
We call this expression the "Mickey Rooney." The Black Stallion is a favorite movie around here, and Mickey Rooney often sports a look like this one.

She is just the most darling thing ever! I am not one bit surprised that her big sisters are all in love with her -- hey, what's better than a real live baby doll?? J is jealous, he just adores babies and can't understand why I don't just up and have another one just for him. (Ah, if only it were that simple!!)
Keep on enjoying these wonderful, wonderful days! (And congrats on the VBAC, you're my hero!!)
