thankful

This morning after waking early, the girls and I created this year's thankful tree, set in a small bucket of dried beans. We all wrote people and things we're thankful for on paper leaves and then hung them on our tree. A simple activity and it called to all of our minds how abundantly wonderful our life is. We have much to be thankful for.

Now that's a cool idea!

While prepping for our next block, I came across the Long Night litany that I lifted from you a couple years back (and have used ever since on that night), and it of course made me think of you. I'm very thankful to have received the inspiration and ideas for some of my favorite family memories from you! I've missed your blog posts, and am hoping you'll get back to it a little more often (and not just so I can steal some more terrific ideas from you! ;)
