Early mornings find me searching within for energy. The sun beams in our east facing living room windows and Pumpkin (always the first one up) searches in the game baskets for the right game to play. It's her Felicity american girl board game these mornings. I stumble in the kitchen pouring coffee before I wrestle Owl into a new diaper. Alybug and Em appear with freshly brushed hair.
And then, well, then I check email before scanning the newspaper as I play the game Pumpkin has prepared. Hmmm. I think I could do this better. I want to connect with the fresh new day. I want to notice the sunbeams, taste the coffee, breathe in the morning, and reconnect with my family. I'll start this week.
