With all the hub bub of house hunting and the onslaught of necessary phone calls and meetings once we did decide on a house (!), our life rhythms are a bit out of whack. Yesterday was one of those days where flying by the seat of my pants was just right. I read Happiness is A Warm Puppy and then the girls all wrote their own versions in their journals. They typically enjoy journal writing and drawing, but this activity just matched our day yesterday. Happiness (or happyness for Alybug) lists flowed easily and freely.
Happiness is a Warm Puppy was one of my favorite books as a toddler, and it has reappeared to a prominent place on our shelf with Alybug and Em's upcoming Peanuts play. I still am aghast at their eagerness to perform. Who would have thought they would be 8 year old actors? Not me.
I have photos of the girls in our yard full of azaleas every year in early spring.
