One!

My, how quickly a year has gone by. Our little Owl is one. She had a lovely birthday which involved lots of sister love, yummy cake with dewberries from our backyard, and plenty of time outside.

These were her handmade gifts. I sewed the elephant sundress. Em embroidered the onesie. Alybug sewed the blanket. And Pumpkin (with just a little help from me) sewed the puppy toy. Owl has been watching her sissy sew the puppy and she was so happy on her birthday morning when she could finally have it.

Owl took her first steps a week ago and is toddling everywhere these days. In a hurry, she resorts to crawling, but she mostly walks. She likes to greet friends and family with a salute and a "Ha!," wave bye ("Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba..."), and, most recently, and much to the delight of her sisters, give hugs.
